Am nächsten Tag hat sich das Wetter sehr zum Schlechteren geändert. Starke Bora-Winde fallen von den Küstenberge ab und ordnen uns den Verbleib im Hafen von Skradin an. Ich spaziere in der Kleinstadt herum, um zu sehen, was es zu sehen gibt.
The next day the weather has changed much for the worse. Strong Bora winds dropping down from the coastal mountains dictate a day in port at Skradin., so I go walking around the small town to see what there is to see.
Die Marktstände haben Mengen an bunten Erzeugnissen, aber zur Zeit wenig Kunden (links). In der Mauer eines überwachsenen Gartens ist etwas, was wie ein römisches Basrelief aussieht, wohl in moderneren Zeiten der Göttin Ronka gewidmet.
The market stalls have plenty of colourful produce but currently few customers (l). In the wall of an overgrown garden is what looks like a Roman bas-relief, thought to have been dedicated in more modern times to the goddess Ronka.

An art class is taking place in and on the paved street.
Manche Fassaden wirken malerisch, aber etwas abgeblättert. Der Anhänger ist wohl vor längerer Zeit abgestellt worden.
Some of the facades are fading but picturesque and the trailer looks as if it is there to stay.

Later on, back at the ship, the storm increases and there is plenty of rain.
Abends profitieren wir von Eberhards Wahl des Liegeplatzes. Wir befinden uns direkt gegenüber dieser traditionellen, klassischen kroatischen Gaststätte am Wasser. Sie ist nur ca. 15m vom Schiff entfernt.
In the evening we find out the advantage of Eberhards choice of moorings - opposite this traditional and classic Croatian tavern directly on the waterfront. It is only about 15m from the ship.
Die freundliche Dame im linken Bild leitet das Geschäft. Zum Essen gibt es wiederholt leckere Schinkenplatten, dazu Brot und Zwiebelscheiben zum Naschen; eine passende Begleitung, um den lokalen Rotwein zu genießen.
The friendly lady on the left runs the business. To eat there are repeated platefuls of delicious ham, onions and bread to pick at - very good to accompany the local red wine.
Die Gaststätte ist bald proppenvoll und ein munterer Europaen Song Contest zwischen Italien (vertreten durch den Tisch vorne) und Kroatien (dahinter) beginnt. Die Stimmung ist ausgezeichnet und keiner bereut es, die zusätzliche Nacht in Skradin verbringen zu müssen.
The tavern is soon crowded out and a cheerful European song contest starts up between the Italian team table (foreground) and the Croatian team table at the back. The atmosphere is excellent and no-one regrets having to stay in Skradin for an extra night.
